The story of this place
Archaeological discoveries beside the Topolnitsa River document an early farming settlement in the Chavdar area. They provided the basis for Topolnitsa Park in the Saint Petka locality. Its exhibition building, reconstructed houses and craft workshops focus attention on practical prehistoric skills. Stone tools, pottery and hide processing offer an accessible route into everyday life. The park is a modern educational complex linked to genuine excavations; its visitor houses are not original Neolithic structures. Photographs and descriptions should preserve that distinction. What visitors encounter is an interpretation of the past designed for learning and experience, alongside information about the archaeological evidence that inspired it.
What the evidence shows
