South and West bus stations serve the town. When travelling by train, check whether you need to change at Gorna Oryahovitsa.
Parking
The tourism portal lists parking at 47 Kraybrezhna Street. Check the fee and signs on site.
With children and reduced mobility
The craft street and short museum visits offer variety for children. Tsarevets and Trapezitsa are hilly archaeological sites; the funicular does not guarantee access to every area.
Costs
Public streets and the space around the Asenevtsi Monument require no museum ticket. Fortresses, historic houses and museum churches charge admission.
When to visit
Spring and early autumn are good for walking. In summer, start fortress visits in the morning. Check each church and museum’s individual schedule.
