Getting there

The tourist information centre lists bus connections with Sofia and Blagoevgrad and rail connections via Septemvri. Allow a substantial part of the day for the narrow-gauge railway.

Parking

Leave your car in a permitted space or at your accommodation and walk to the centre. A specific car park and current fee have not been confirmed.

With children and reduced mobility

The pedestrian square and park with a playground offer convenient breaks between museums. Check accessibility separately for each house and floor.

Costs

Museum houses charge admission; the square and park are free to explore. Check lunch closures before visiting.

When to visit

A year-round town route. A mountain hike or ski day requires a separate plan and a check of conditions.
