What makes it special?

Varna combines a working port, broad Sea Garden, beaches and some of Bulgaria's strongest archaeology, including Roman baths and the prehistoric gold displayed in the Archaeological Museum.

The maritime capital feels urban year-round. The centre layers Ottoman, late-19th-century and modern architecture over ancient Odessos, while the park opens the city directly to the Black Sea.

A2 and Route 2 approach Varna; Route 9 follows the coast. Central and resort parking fills quickly in July and August.
