What makes it special?

Kardzhali is a multicultural city on the Arda and the practical base for exploring the volcanic landscapes, reservoirs, Thracian sanctuaries and villages of the Eastern Rhodopes.

The regional museum, market and religious landmarks reveal a borderland shaped by many communities. Just outside the urban area, rock formations and archaeological sites make the landscape part of the city experience.
