What makes it special?

Vratsa places museums, towers and a walkable centre directly below one of Bulgaria's most dramatic mountain walls, making culture and outdoor travel easy to combine.

The city is the natural gateway to Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park. Thracian treasures in the museum, the surviving medieval towers and the narrow Vratsata gorge give a strong sense of place.
