What makes it special?

Sliven sits where the plain meets the eastern Balkan Mountains, combining Revival history, textile-industry heritage, ancient Tuida and immediate access to the cliffs and forests of the Blue Stones.

The city is associated with hajduk rebels, early Bulgarian industry and a famously strong local wind. Mountain scenery is always present and turns the urban visit into an easy outdoor extension.
