What makes it special?

Plovdiv compresses millennia into a highly walkable centre: Roman monuments, Ottoman traces, colourful Revival houses, religious diversity, galleries and the creative pulse of Kapana.

The city is not a single historic quarter but a living sequence of layers. Archaeology appears under streets and modern buildings, while the hills shape views, neighbourhoods and the pace of exploration.
