What makes it special?

Burgas is more than a transport stop for the southern coast: its long Sea Garden, pedestrian centre, museums, cultural spaces and bird-rich lakes make a relaxed city break.

The city faces both the Black Sea and a ring of lagoons. That meeting of urban culture, fishing traditions, salt and migration routes gives Burgas a character unlike the resort towns around it.
